How the calculators work
The salary calculator multiplies each career's national median by level (entry, mid, senior, top) by a metro multiplier derived from the BLS May 2025 OEWS all-occupation wage differentials, and shows a ±15–20% band around the result because a single number would be false precision. The ROI calculator takes the exam fees and recommended study hours published by the issuing body, adds your prep cost and the value of your study time, and divides by the credential's own survey-reported pay lift to give months to break even; surveys report correlation, not cause, and the page says so. The study planner divides the roadmap's summed hours by your hours per week and lays the milestones on a calendar.
